We believe that there is so much untapped acting talent out there, especially here is in the north, which is why we created Totally Showreels to help actors get noticed in the industry.
Totally showreels was created in 2012 by Mike and Lee, who as actors themselves, realised the problem that most actors face. The old Catch 22. How do you get seen by casting directors and agents to get work, when you have no work to show?
Traditionally actors starting out would do short films and Student productions, which is still absolutely one of the best things you can do. Get as much experience on set as you can. However even these 'low pay no pay' films are becoming increasingly difficult to get seen for. So Totally Showreels was born.
Mike is a director, actor, writer, teacher and filmmaker. Having trained and worked as an actor in TV, Film and Theatre, Mike made the switch to focus on filmmaking in 2013. Today as well as founding TotallyShowreels with Lee, Mike also teaches media production and screen writing.
Lee is an actor, director, writer and acting tutor, working mainly in TV, Film and theatre. As a jobbing actor he would say that he will go wherever the works takes him, See his Spotlight CV
Totally Showreels came about mainly because friend and colleagues were asking for scenes to be written and shot to expand their acting showreels, at an affordable price.
